A roller derby team has won a bid to wear its new jerseys in a competition at the Olympics.
The NSW Roller Derby Association said the jerseys were a success at the competition in Bali.
“The team has worn the new jerseys for the first time at the Games and we are delighted with the response from the fans,” the association said in a statement.
“We have been working closely with the athletes and their families and they have really enjoyed wearing the new uniform.”
The Roller Derby Girls’ Association said its jerseys were “one of the biggest successes of our careers”.
“The jerseys were well received at the games and the whole team has been able to wear them at their respective matches, we are proud of this,” the team said in its statement.
The first roller derby jersey was launched last year and the association has since sold more than 20,000 jerseys.
